Chungchun Rice Dog Georgetown: Reviews & Ratings
Me and my friends went here together as we were excited to see a Korean restaurant opening up in Georgetown! We all got corndogs and their house pineapple ade. The pineapple ade was fantastic! Tasted very refreshing, zesty and not too sweet - which is high compliments from an Asian lol. Their corn dogs were good as well! Very filling and cheese had a nice stretch to it! We added potatoes as our topping, and topped it with sugar, mustard and ketchup. Highly recommend this combo! The one thing I would complain about is the price is a little expensive especially for a student such as myself. I do love the atmosphere though. They had a large screen tv playing kpop which, love! And their space was filled in the back with so many Asian snacks and they even had ice cream! They also are the first place in Georgetown or anywhere for that matter I've seen serve instant ramen! I'm very excited to try that out for lunch someday. They not only serve Korean corn dogs, but also Korean fried chicken which I've heard is quite good, Korean rice cakes which I'm excited to try, and also their bingsu which sounds so refreshing especially since summer is right around the corner! The owner was very friendly and talkative and super nice! As an Asian in a predominantly white town such as Georgetown, it felt really nice to finally have a space where I felt very much at home in. I can't wait to visit again in the future!
Tried Chungchun in Georgetown and it was excellent. I had their fried chicken, both the original and the soy garlic, and both were really, really good. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The prices were on point for the quality and portion size too. If you’re in the area and want to try something different (and tasty), I’d definitely recommend checking this place out. I’ll be back for sure.
Amazing Hot Dog !! I tried the chicken hotdog and it was really delicious Only thing is that quantity of the fries in the combo was very less Overall it was good The guy who made it was very humble Will come back again
Decent selection of options with meat and toppings. Crazy pricy when you consider what you’re getting ($5 for a pop and like 14 fries) but I guess there’s value in the meat experience.
I went to chunchungs for the first time and tried a few foods. The design of the place was put in with effort. We got 2 rice dogs with that are beef, the toppings we put were the ramen chips. We also were allowed an unlimited choice of sauce to add on top of the rice dogs. We lastly got the rośe tteok-bokki. The food was perfect temperature without burning your tongue. I would definitely come back.
So excited to try this new spot in town. Usually have to travel to Mississauga to get something like this. Lots of options, hot dogs and korean fried chicken were both good. Food is made fresh so there is a bit of a wait, but I'd rather wait for freshness. Staff is friendly and polite. I did ask the cashier a question and got 'it's my second day' as an answer instead of the answer to my question haha but I wasn't to bothered. Space is bright and clean with lots of Asian snacks and a self serve ramen bar. Excited to return and try more options.
Tried Chungchun Rice Dog in Georgetown and it did not disappoint! The food was tasty and freshly fried right in front of us. Such a fun and delicious spot—definitely a great addition to Halton Hills! Looking forward to trying more from the menu.

Chungchun Rice Dog Georgetown brings a vibrant taste of Korea right to the heart of Georgetown, Ontario. Nestled at 154 Guelph St, this restaurant offers much more than your typical Korean eatery. From their signature Korean corn dogs to the savory fried chicken and refreshing bingsu, the menu is a celebration of authentic flavors crafted with care and a modern twist.
The star here is undoubtedly the rice dog, a Korean-style corn dog where chewy rice cake meets a perfectly fried batter, often oozing with stretchy cheese and paired with an array of toppings and sauces. Customers love customizing their dogs, layering on flavors like mustard, ketchup, and sweet sugar, or adding unique toppings such as ramen chips and crispy potatoes. This playful combination of textures and tastes makes every bite a delightful experience.
Aside from the rice dogs, the Korean fried chicken has earned high praise for its crispy, flavorful crust and juicy interior – whether you go for the original or the soy garlic glaze. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in cooking each piece to perfection, and the portion sizes satisfy without overwhelming.
One of Chungchun’s charming touches is its welcoming atmosphere. The space is lively, adorned with a large screen playing K-pop videos and shelves stocked with Asian snacks and ice cream, creating a cozy corner of Korean culture in a predominantly Western town. The friendly, down-to-earth staff add warmth to the visit, making it a spot that feels more like home than just a meal.
Drink offerings like the house pineapple ade stand out with their refreshing, well-balanced sweetness and zest, a perfect complement to the rich, savory dishes. The addition of instant ramen on the menu is a unique highlight in the Georgetown dining scene, promising even more authentic Korean comfort food to explore.
While some note that prices can be a bit steep, especially for students, the quality, taste, and cultural authenticity more than justify the cost. Whether you’re seeking a new flavor adventure or a comforting taste of Korea, Chungchun Rice Dog Georgetown delivers with heart, flavor, and an inviting community atmosphere. It’s a must-visit for anyone eager to indulge in Korea’s vibrant street food culture without leaving home.
